I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing when I was told the sad news of Johnny's passing.
I grew up with this bright, intelligent, lovable boy down at Eastfield cottages. With the cheekiest smile and the most infectious laugh and a thirst for knowledge.
He would show off his karate moves, paint his warhammer figures and play imaginary war games, even with us girls. He had a great imagination.
I can't begin to imagine how Maggie, Gordon and Sammy (wee sam pie) are feeling. Johnny was just such a special little boy and I can imagine he turned into a spectacular young man. My heart is filled with sadness for everyone's loss but I'm also happy for the people who got a chance to know johnny.
Sending all my love 💓

I'm lost for words, chatting tonight with colleagues about the amazing anesthetist we have worked with over the years to hear this tragic news. Jonny was one of our favourites in cah maternity. He lit up the place whenever he was around, I was so sad to see him move onto belfast and hoped to see him back on CAH one day. I am so sorry to all the family in losing such an amazing man x

I met up with a friend last night who told me about Johnny. I worked with Johnny during the first wave of the pandemic in Craigavon and also in RICU. He was a true gentleman, approachable, kind and oh so competent. I loved to see him coming. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and My thoughts are with his family and fiancé so much. Rest in peace.
